We walked from Puerto de la Cruz to La Orotava to see the Ruta de Belen and The Victoria Gardens. We had eaten at this restaurant last year and decided to eat there again before going back down to Puerto, as we had been delighted by the food we had ordered. Yet again, we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the food simply divine and very reasonably priced for both the quality and presentation. We'll definitely go back before returning home, it is well worth the long, uphill slog on foot, the reward being the excellent food and the knowledge that it is downhill, all the way back to Puerto.

Wonderful place for food and wine ! We enjoyed very much our dinner in tasca el Canada. Very tasty food , good quality of local products. We tasted delicious wine frutado. 3 dishes (salad , cheese as starters and a main dish with beef) were super enough for the two of us. Very close to the center of La Orotava. If you have a dog with you, you can also visit this tasca as is a pet friendly restaurant. Last but not least, the owner of the tasca Maria Dolores is super friendly and make us feel welcome, as we were in our home. We really look forward to go back to this place .

We'd walked to La Oratava from Puerto de la Cruz and stopped for lunch here as it was raining and they had a nice covered terrace. What a lucky find! Lovely staff and friendly service as well as being patient with our limited Spanish. They had a QR code to scan for the online menu (in English). I had the classic pork tenderloin in a lovely wine sauce with cubed sautéed potatoes. My wife had a tuna salad which was made with belly tuna and far better than the usual tuna salads you find everywhere. Definitely coming back to try some other dishes.
