As a local, it is such a bonus to have this great little cafe on our doorstep. It's been a few months since a visit to Queen St with South Road roadworks hampering local traffic, however, the effort was made to visit and sample the 'goods', and it was oh so worth the effort. My afternoon tea date and I arrived at 4.10pm, their closing time 4.30pm, but at no time were we rushed, made to feel uncomfortable, our order taken, delivered to table within 10mins, accompanied by great coffee, it was indeed an enjoyable experience. We chose from the 'sweet' menu, a good, tantalising selection, however, for the savoury customer, an impressive line up of options available. The store was simple, yet effe...

This fantastic little crêperie is relatively new to the hip Queen Street precinct in Croydon and is run by the affable Marie, who hails from France, and her partner. The crêpes are delicious and authentic, with both savory and sweet on offer. I LOVE the poire, which comes served with a caramel sauce, ice-cream and flaked roasted almonds. If I'm in the mood for something savoury, I can't go past La biquette which is a delicious combo of a buckwheat galette with mushroom, spinach and creamy goats cheese. The crêperie is licensed, but instead of a glass of bubbly, I go straight for the rare as hen's teeth French classic Orangina! La Lorientaise also serves great coffee and a selection of French p...

We had a fabulous breakfast La Lorientaise Crêperie (alias La Crêperie Lorientaise ) and a great chat with the owner, Marie-Elise Sellin, on our visit to Adelaide in August. We enjoyed buckwheat crêpes (or galettes de blé noir, also known as galettes de sarrasin) and a piccolo latté. (Notwithstanding the name, buckwheat is quite distinct from wheat and the pure varieties are gluten-free.)The location in Croydon is easy to get to and is in a delightful precinct with an ambience reminiscent of the centre of a small country town.

I have been going to another creperie in Adelaide and someone suggested that I try out La Lorientaise.Arrived in Elizabeth St, found the place. Nice decor, lots of room, busy, but not too busy. Menu looked promising. My husband and I ordered a galette each. They were both overcooked and had the consistency of a brandy snap. There was a lot of goat cheese on mine and it would have been nice to have some greens to break it down. Won't be returning. Book a table now

Just went today and left full and happy. We enjoyed everything we ate; a simple ham, cheese and tomato croissant; la gourmande crêpe; and la pomme crêpe. One crêpe was a savoury breakfast type one and the other a sweet crêpe with cream, ice cream, apple, salted caramel sauce and flaked almonds. It is definitely worth eating here.Coffee was good also!

I have been here a couple of times, just for coffee and it is always a pleasure. There are some (perhaps) slightly more well known establishments across the road, but this is such a calm and beautiful space, and parking, around the corner is a breeze.Just off Port Road, it is well worth seeking out.

We thought that we would wander down to queen street for lunch and were delighted to see a Creperie on the corner. Fantastic. Vegetarian crepes and coffee for lunch. Staff were lovely and friendly and explained the menu to us. Definitely going back to try more from the menu.

Nice addition in Croydon of this casual restaurant which serves excellent french crepes. Good selection of "crepes au ble noir" buckwheat pancake, and normal wheat for sweet crepes. Not sophisticated, not pretentious, just good, simple and honest food. Book a table now

We dined here recently for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised not necessarily being a crepe eater the food was delicious, the staff very friendly. A fun little place with inside and outside dining.
