Dear management I had the opportunity to dine at your restaurant for lunch on Sunday 28 May. During my visit I had mixed impressions of your establishment. I would like to address my observations and experiences in relation to food and staff. Food: $20 lunch menu Pumpkin soup + beef goulashThe water bottle was a tired glass bottle where the glue paint was coming away The soup arrived with no bread roll or offer of cracked pepperThe goulash beef was a bit chewy and extremely oily. Staff: I found the manager to be abrasive lacking customer service skills. In addition , her rudeness extended as I was receiving some help from one of the waitresses as she interrupted and barked at her to do work...
Have had 2 lunches there & food overcooked & dried up. Went a couple of Sundays ago to give it another try but owner very rude when we told him of our experiences. We just had coffee & decided to go elsewhere for lunch after his bad attitude. No apology. When i went to pay for the coffee he very rudely said he wouldn't accept money because i was never going back there & walked off before i could say anything. What a stupid man. He has no idea of the damage he did to his business that day. It is no wonder he is not doing well as 3 times we have been there now at lunchtime on a Sunday & the place was almost deserted! a night to remember. I spent silvester on the piazza la with close friends, and it was a night to remember. I was an 80s motto event with an 80s dj that played a great mix of 80’s music. the people took the time to dress and the restaurant went out of the way to dress up the place and it looked fantastic. it broke back great memories. eating was a buffet that was of the highest quality and eating and the variation of the food never stopped during the night. from fresh oysters to mouthwater fish. especially I enjoyed the lambskin. the personal was so friendly and went out of the way to make us feel like a family. many thanks to all and have a wonderful 2022 and I will be back.
we went with a group of 12 to celebrate a birthday. when we arrived, it was told that we were reserved on the veranda, was not available as it had been booked twice. but we were assigned two tables, one round and one rectangular! this table had been set up with only 11 seats, so another had to be added. there weren't enough wine glasses on the table. we were long gone before we took over our orders. then, when the meals came out, several were missing and a long time later, after a few reminders were delivered to the personal. my meal, the huh was hard, so obviously overcooked. we finally got two bottles of wine, “to make up for the muck”! I doubt the group's coming back.

We traveled here for a wedding and we weren't disappointed! The location is magnificent, the view is amazing and we had a wonderful time.Although small is felt cosy, the band was amazing and they had moscato! The moscato was quite tasty.It was a bit strange to have 3 meal choices for a wedding but it was fine, we loved our food and if we are ever on the gold coast again we will definitely stop in for a meal.
Catching up with a old friend living in the Gold Coast his pick for lunch we certainly aren't complaining what a lovely lunch and we all had the restaurants lunch time special deal. The minute we walked in the great service started and only ended after departing a big thank you to the manager / owner for making us feel so welcomed.
Great atmosphere ,poor quality food very small portions ,have been a few times over the years must be new chef the food was tasteless .Pity as the ambience is great . The staff work hard to please but a few smiles could help .Maybe a shake up would help with good food .
La Piazza in Runaway Bay is an excellent restaurant for any occasion. Great food and excellent service. Staff are friendly and helpful .. good value for money. Can't beat their wonderful steaks!!

Russian karaoke....not ideal for a couples dinner. Food...paella was like a 2minute rice dish and fettucinne seafood had no flavour. Very disappointed
Poor service food not deliverd to the table so we could eat together. Just bad food in a poorly ran restaurant that feels like it is on its last legs.
