I give them *5 stars for the Catfish I ordered and the Cashier was friendly and really cool but my sister ordered the Catfish and Fries and complained that they were soggy, looked like they were recooked, dark and cooked in old grease. She said she even asked for them to fry them hard and they wasn't. I've had the fries before and they were good. If you're getting complaints about soggy fries cooked in old grease why not do that ever again?She sent me pictures too but don't know how to post them.
Soooo gross.Fries were floppy and taste like chickenMac n Cheese taste like a chemical. A stinky, bitter tasting chemical. Brown clungy gunk in the macaroni not sure if it’s egg but yuckRed beans had that same stinky chemical taste and smell.Worse orange roughy I’ve ever tasted idk how but yuck and the catfish was just as bad.Couldn’t get past the smell and my kids and I threw the whole everything away.Drive past a million times, first time actually stopping and NEVER again
I visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. It used to be called M M Shrimp Shack, and I didn't realize it had changed, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hospitality was excellent, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the place was very clean. What more could you ask for? I ordered a bit of everything since it was my first visit. My only complaint is that they could stay open a bit longer. Great job, everyone!
The chicken is always tasty, but the fries are consistently soggy, and the mac and cheese is quite unappealing. It was so disappointing that I considered asking for a refund. I have similar concerns about the service as well—what has happened to the staff? I'm giving it 2 stars, mainly because the mac and cheese was such a disappointment.

We were bamboosled by the reviews!!! Clearly, the shrimp and fries were fried in old old grease. The fries were dark and limp. The cole slaw had a spoiled smell. It was so soupy...you could have drank it. The fried okra even though it was mush was the best thing.???????????? Never going back

I truly enjoy the food at this restaurant. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring that everything is correct and fresh. The portion sizes are definitely the highlight of the meal. Whenever I'm in Midtown, I always choose Lanette's for a delicious dining experience.
The food was hot and fresh! The tails took me by surprise, but they were really good, lol. OMG, I meant to say they were *GOOD, not hood! My apologies, lol.
