Las Cabañas Mexican Grill is simply a hidden gem of Mexican delicacy in Berkeley. Simple have the best Super Quesadilla and best combos are either with Steak Fries or Carnitas. Another food unknown to the public but simply delicious is the Mix-All-three Fajita Plate that consist of Steak, Chicken and Jumbo Shrimp heated up in a hotplate and also on the side some rice fried or black beans with fresh Vegetables. All there menu across gives very different flavour pallet from spicy, savoury, sweet and sour. I like to come here for Mexican food. But the main workers there could not hold common English conversations and don’t look people in the eye while customers are trying to talk with them. Also, they don’t tell you that there is a 3%credit card fee of your bill before you finished the payment. So I feel like it is worth to notice and give a review here. I hope they can work on communication and keeping the food quality excellent. Thank you.
Slept on this place, since I only remembered it as Nino's Brazilian pizza for a number of years. Glad I stopped in, since they're making super fresh tacos and have a wide selection of Mexican restaurant, and street food, not expensive, with a great atmosphere to hide out from the hustle and bustle.Tacos are a little more on the expensive side, but freshness and well done. Recipes make up for the cost. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place inside. Friendly customer service. Family feel from them all. The food was just not quite as I had expected. A little too far on the processed, mass produced side, for taste and quality.Maybe next time it'll be better .

Way too much onion and little to no cilantro. Luckily I had some cilantro at home but c’mon. Theirs no way this would pass in Chiapas, Mexico.
The super burrito was good, better than most burritos I've tried. The super nachos was awesome, it's packed with everything especially meat!
Crispy tacos so yummy and I got hot salsa with them! Many places don't send salsa even when requested. I'll order from Las Cabañas again.
