Living in the St. Clair West neighbourhood, I'm always excited when a new restaurant pops up on the block. Lasa definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant is set up in cafeteria-style; first you order your food at the counter then pick it up once it's ready. Plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins, water and all condiments are for you on the side to use at your disposal. The food is prepared fresh and is decently priced. The staff were helpful and took the time to explain the menu and types of dishes offered. I recommend the dish 'Ginataan with Shrimp;' this dish is complete with bok-choy, green beans, squash and shrimp in a rich and flavourful coconut broth. This would be a great restaurant fo...
One of the standout dishes is the Mushroom Pancit Canton, a noodle dish with rich mushroom flavor. Another must-try is the Pork Belly Adobo, a flavorful dish with a soy and vinegar reduction. The BBQ Skewers are also a hit, marinated in soy and 7up for a sweet and slightly spicy taste. For dessert, the Halo Halo shaved ice dessert is a must, with a variety of toppings including mango, gelatin, and ube ice cream. Overall, Lamesa offers expertly created Filipino dishes with bold flavors that showcase the diverse cultural influences of Filipino cuisine. A visit to Lamesa is a must for anyone looking to experience the best of Filipino food.
Super cute spot on St. Clair offering flavorful Filipino cuisine. Every bite was delicious and set the bar quite high for my first dining experience. I was also very impressed with the vegetarian options available. The fish and ox tail stew was absolutely delicious! My eyes said yes while my pants said no! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The interior is quaint and homey. Can't wait for my next visit! Book a table now
I had a great experience at this restaurant. My family ordered the BBQ pork skewers, fried chicken, and the bangus fish with the silog plates. I particularly enjoyed the fish and fried chicken, as they were both delicious. However, I found the BBQ pork to be underwhelming. I would definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to others in the area to give it a try.
Lasa by Lamesa @lasabylamesa) located on St.Clair West has a more casual traditional style compare to the original Lamesa which is more upscale and delicate version of Filipino Food. I have been a big fan of Lamesa since they first open see post here, here and here) and I was excited to try their new spot and it didn't disappoint. Love the casual bright space!!!
This restaurant is quick, budget-friendly, and offers plenty of vegetarian choices. Delicious! I highly recommend this place, especially for those unfamiliar with Filipino food and seeking a flavorful introduction.
I don't normally go out for Filipino food because I find that most places are a miss, especially with the different ways we all can sometimes cook our Book a table now
