"we went there in the morning to make a reservation for dinner. They told us that okay, no problem. When we arrived there at night, we waited half an hour, called the restaurant, but they never showed up and the place was closed. So...we went to the restaurant next door, called michel (which was a very beautiful surprise.)"

I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed my stay all the way. vence is a beautiful city with a new and old part to it, located in an old part of the city on a square, a large narrow building with only four rooms and a small bar down. they have really thought about how they want the rooms to look and they are a lot of boutique style, I was in number three. the breakfast served outside was a little lustre, only brot and jam and coffee, but good brot and they are in france! two main considerations with this place are 1) their fitness level, the rooms are over a steep and winding staircase reaches definitiw not for older or very young or disabled and for the unfit like me a challenge! and 2) is...

we had 5 nights in the januar used it as basic to drive to other places. only local to save it well for many restaurants, either closed or empty. the room was good, with one of 3 . the main thing is. the church bell, against the hourly other paints until 11 clock rings. in winter space is loud, so in summer would be very loud. on the plus side, many restaurants 2 min away. the restaurant on the floor is good for lunch, but was closed 2 days we were there. the stairs are steeply narrow. we have cases in car with soft bags. there are parks undercover that we had used a lot of space, not sure about the summer.

Had a beautiful night in the top-floor room with roof terrace at this unique four-room hotel. The toilet being in the bedroom (no door) took a bit of getting used to and might need a re-think, but other than that the Serge Gainsbourg themed top floor room with a roof terrace looking over the sun-drenched terracotta roofs of Venice was beautiful and we’ll be back.
