Stopped by for a light lunch in the sun. Taken in by the outdoor seating in the sunshine with moules et frites on the menu, which everyone else had ordered. Large beer 7 euros, fine. Moules et frites 9.90 euros, decent price. Absolutely appalled with what was served. Looked like they had just been fished out of the net with the sea water as the mariniere sauce. Cloudy sea water and dirty shells with crabs living inside resulted in only eating 6 before I had to throw in the towel. Chips were naff, but are the lot due to being so hungry.Waiter asked why we left so much and we politely told him that we couldn't eat them as they were not good. He didn't apologise and walked off rudely.30 euros f...

This bistro has a great location to the side of the harbour. I ordered moules frites. After a few I noticed a strange texture, l looked at the next one, nothing to see, but then after a couple I noticed that in every other moule, actually inside the moule, was a little parasitic crab, about the size of a pea. When I have moules I really want to be the first guy there and not be sharing it with a bunch of crabs. I then spent the next 20 mins picking them out. No attempt to flavour the cooking water - no wine no shallots, and no bread anyway to try...

On a wet, windy, Summer's day in La Flotte we were pleased to dash in here having eaten here (successfully) some years ago.Well, things have changed and not for the better: Service: grudging and unwelcoming; dirge-like music, sticky table with sauces in plastic pouches; small, flabby cheese omelette (no ham offered) with unremarkable chips...coffee OK though. Waiting staff more concerned with themselves than their clients....one man on the table behind us had to go to up to the bar himself to get a drink. Why, if you have the chance to run a restaurant in one of the world's most popular tourist destinations would you not at least pretend you like the people who pay your wages? My suggestion is...

A small menu of freshly cooked, interesting, orginal and vey tasty seafood and meat dishes. Check the daily choices chalked up on the blackboard, then take a table on the harbour side for a relaxing lunch.
