We were looking for lunch in Kaysersberg and were attracted by the colourful umbrellas and the €12 Formulae at the front of Le Capucin. It was too hot to sit in the front and discovered a cool oasis in the back. The meal was excellent and great value. We were served an entree of egg with mayonnaise, mains were chicken with Alsacian pasta and a peach melba for dessert. It was all very fresh and delicious. We wandered in off the street with our 2 dogs, and were seated in the covered, conservatory area towards the back of the restaurant which was lovely - eclectic decor, plants and water features. It also has a front outdoor seating area, an inner area AND a garden! Food was inexpensive and tasty. Our dogs were given water and the waiting staff were very friendly. Kaysersberg itself is beautiful, and if we ever return, we'd go to Le Capucin again!

We stopped in Kaysersberg to wonder around and since it was lunch time decided to eat. I had researched anything and we found this place by chance. Luckily they still had room in the garden terrace out back. The tarte flambée was by far the most expensive we had on our trip. It was good and the garden was lovely to sit in and escape the heat. Drinks and coffee weren't expensive. The staff was very friendly. .

The hospitality is great, the stuff is kind and helpful, the plates are well cooked and tasty, the prices are good enough (around 20 Euros per person without the drinks), the terrace offers lovely views of the river (or the street) and the decoration is nice. what else can a visitor asks from a bar/restaurant?.... reccomended!
