We have always had a great experience at Lee's in Mt Sterling, so we decided to give the Richmond location a try. This was a mistake. We ordered a 16 piece strip family meal online and attempted to pick it up at the drive thru, only to be told we had to come inside for online orders. Once inside, we waited 5 minutes before being acknowledged, even though there was no one else ahead of us. After finally being helped, we waited an additional 10 minutes for our food. During our wait, we witnessed another customer who had ordered in store receive the wrong order, but the staff made it right by giving them what they had actually ordered. On the second Wednesday of every month I come to Lee's to get a large order of boneless and bone in wings for my Union meetings, 20 pieces of each with sides. My Union brethren DEVOUR it and have been devouring it for the last 4 years. They love it so much that they don't want food from anywhere else. However, my favorite are the biscuits and the sweet tea. The employees there are always friendly and helpful.
The fried chicken was fantastic, with both white and dark meat incredibly juicy and flavorful. The green beans, potato wedges, mashed potatoes, and biscuits were all delicious as well. The only downside was the mac and cheese, which was bland and served cold. However, everything else was hot and expertly prepared. The sweet tea was the perfect complement to the meal. I will definitely be returning!
Avoid going inside Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken at all costs. The wait time was unbelievable! If you have to visit, definitely use the drive-thru instead. I waited more than 35 minutes indoors while people in the drive-thru kept getting served before me. The menu options are overshadowed by the frustrating service.

Went through the drive through, was told it will be 7 minutes for my food I said ok, so they pulled me up,and I was there for 25 minutes waiting on my food. I finally called the store and ask them were my food was . Why must people lie to you ,andmake you wait than forget about you. Never again .
I would have received the correct order if everyone wasn't in the back smoking weed and getting high. This is why I remember why I don't go to this restaurant.
Got a gallon of sweet tea through drive thru. Not one bit sweet. I came home and sweetened it myself. But I stopped two places and neither place got it right.
Love them chicken gizzards man I used to get gizzards and livers both but I figured out the gizzards are better than the livers but they're awesome
