I met up with a friend after two years, and we had originally planned to enjoy some Indian food. However, the restaurant was under renovation, so we decided to look for other options. That's when we stumbled upon L&L Hawaiian BBQ, conveniently located next to a ramen shop. We opted for the garlic chicken and BBQ chicken. The food was decent, and the staff was really friendly. Once we got home and began eating, we were disheartened to find the rice was soggy, mushy, and hard in some parts—hard to believe it's possible to have mushy rice with a hard center. The usually delightful mac salad was overcooked and completely flavorless. The BBQ beef was excessively marinated, and while the katsu chicken was bland, it was unfortunately the best part of the meal. We left feeling utterly dissatisfied and regretting our choice to dine here. We won't be returning anytime soon unless significant improvements are made.
The language used by the kitchen staff is quite alarming. I strongly advise against bringing children to this restaurant. The cooks speak in a manner that feels extremely unprofessional, almost reminiscent of sailors or ex-convicts. There was an excessive amount of cursing, including racial slurs directed at an African American employee. The manager should seriously consider hiring new cooks. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
The portion sizes are substantial and the prices are reasonable. The servings of protein are consistently generous. The rice is cooked to perfection, and the macaroni salad is delicious. Their Laulau is outstanding, packed with plenty of meat! A combo plate is ample for satisfying a very hungry individual or can easily be shared between two people.

I had not been here in a while. I forgot just how good their food was. I ordered the BBQ Combination Plate. It came with at least 3 different types of meat (chicken, beef ribs, beef etc. plus macaroni salad and rice. Not cheap but delicious, especially if you add some sauce. Highly recommended! Service was fast and friendly.
Had the mixed barbecue plate with fries instead of rice. Good size portion for two. Price was reasonable. The rib was extra fatty and not as tender as I would like. The other meats were ok. I was hoping for a little more on the overall flavour without having to add salt or sauce.
If you're looking for healthy food then this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for good, tasty, and very affordable food then try this place. It gets busy in the evening and parking can be a bit tough depending on the time of the day.
It's so hard to find great Hawaiian food, but L&L is, in fact, great. The food was delish and the service was with a smile and a kind word. It may turn out to be my new favorite Hawaiian place!

Large portions, cheap and delicious! Wednesday they have 0.99$ spam masubi. Pretty small dining area, but most people come in for take out.
This is a great affordable spot for satisfying my Hawaiian food cravings. I usually order the BBQ Mix along with the Spam and egg musubi.
