I absolutely enjoyed my visit to Magic Curries. It was a warm and inviting atmosphere with the open fire a nice touch. The group of 5 I was with decided to get the banquet option which was really reasonably priced and very delicious!! The best butter chicken I've had in Hobart! The wait staff were attentive but not too much and everything that was served was delicious, could not fault it! This place is a hidden gem and I will definitely come back!
My husband and I ate dinner here the other evening.The ambience was lovely with open fire place and high ceilings.The owners were polite and gracious. We ordered the butter chicken and Bombay beef, rice and garlic Naan. One of the best butter chicken I have had the pleasure to eat. The Naan was freshly cooked and light as a feather- same with the rice.I definitely would recommend having dinner here and will definitely return when visiting Hobart.
We stumbled across this place one night, and went in on recommendation of someone picking up their takeaway dinner!We were not disappointed! I'll start by saying I have been to India so I'm pretty picky about Indian food, this place was amazing!The curries were so jam packed full of flavour, and the naans were nice and thin and crispy not at all doughy. I will be coming back here for sure next time in Hobart! I highly recommend this one!!
The staff were very welcoming. The tables nicely laid out - there are various rooms to eat in, but I found the food to be very spicy and not delicate. I normally like Indian food and wanted to be wowed, but wasn't. For lovers of spicy food - you will probably make a different assessment. Some in our group loved it, some didn't. Book a table now

Mouth watering indian food. Small and intimate location. Staff are friendly and very welcoming. There was a lovely fire lighting when we entered. Not one bad thing to say. I had the butter chicken. Possibly the best I have ever had. Check this place out!
Visited with family of 5. Great butter chicken and nawabi lamb. Decent size servings, very friendly service with welcoming atmosphere. Delightful owner who gave the kids complementary ice cream tube on the way out. Will definitely come again.

Treated my friend to a birthday dinner shared entrees and main course, perfect! Recommend the lamb cutlets and Butter Chicken. ended the night with a beautiful desert - homemade ice-cream on a stick with Pistachio
