I have dined at Mamma Mia on numerous occasions over the years when visiting friends in Oxford, most recently last autumn. I was excited for another enjoyable evening, but unfortunately, this time I was rather disappointed. As someone who has lived in Italy, I appreciate authentic pizza and have always found the pizzas at Mamma Mia to be delicious, filling, and a good value. However, on this visit, the toppings were sparse, the crust was very hard and overcooked, and the pizza itself was very thin. Both the pizza and the gnocchi dish we ordered from the specials board, priced at just under £17 each, were underwhelming. Our shared starter also left something to be desired, with crunchy peache...
We were visiting Oxford for a couple of nights so decided to go for a meal after going through a few Italians, we found Mamma Mia Jericho. Not only was the service brilliant our young waiter was very friendly and attentive, the food was exceptional aswell! We all had the garlic mushrooms with warm bread to start with which we all agreed were amazing. I then had Pollo E Funghi which was phenomenal. My boyfriend had Lasagna his mum had the Aubergine Parmigiana. Both of them said it was the best Italian they’d ever had. Then came the Tiramisu OMG!!! Next time we visit Oxford we will definitely be booking a table my mouth is watering in anticipation
Such a lovely easy, relaxed vibe in this restaurant, even though the staff work absolutely tirelessly and non stop. They are still super friendly and welcoming. We had a garlic bread to start, which wasn’t the best. Mostly cold and super hard and crispy, it was drowned in a grainy lumpy garlic and swimming in oil. A generous portion but on the whole inedible. Our lasagna however, was very good. A generous portion, a wee bit tomato heavy but tasty none the less. Great to try somewhere different and a pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
We love Italian food and we decided to visit o for for our anniversary. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local bar and I am so pleased they did. The food was amazing, they really do put thought into their flavours and everything just tasted incredible. We highly recommend this place to anyone else. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and this place certainly made us feel like we’d had a treat and the staff were so friendly too.

We have always loved the extremely fresh thin-crust pizza at this highly popular Oxford restaurant. It had been a while since our last visit, so we were thrilled to be back. The Stagioni Pizza was delicious, with olives, smoked ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and added anchovies. It was really delicious.
This restaurant serves the best gluten-free pizza I've had outside of Rome! They have a great variety of toppings and large portions. They also offer gluten-free pasta and vegan cheese. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon and we ordered a variety of both specials and from the main menu. The service was really attentive and the food was incredible (as it usually is). Never had a bad meal here, the tiramisu is to die for!

We visited on 30th April for a mixed age, family lunch for my son’s birthday. We had delicious food and great service which is always the case at both venues of this lovely pizza (and pasta) restaurant.
If you are looking for gluten free options then this restaurant is worth considering. Food and service are good and the staff friendly
