a cosy ambience welcomes you to a truly wonderful dining experience. Maranellos serves sensational Italian food. This is a real italian restaurant that did not disappoint. Stylish, attentive and friendly staff, wonderful food and an incredible wine list. The ravioli with burnt butter and sage was amazing, and the spaghetti with seafood was equally as good. Such intense flavours. The mains were just as good and the exquisite desserts capped off a memorable evening. May not be as well known as some of Sydney's other restaurants, but it should be. A truly memorable experience to celebrate my partners birthday .
All dishes were below average. Arancini had a nice crispy shell but the inside was pretty tasteless and didn't even really look like risotto. Calamari was rubbery and the batter was too floury. Tortellini boscaiola was heavy and flavourless. Pizza had an alright base and the tomato sauce was nice, but overall it was disappointing - no basil as advertised and the huge chunks of cherry tomato added nothing. We won't be going back.
Dropped in for lunch after reviewing the menu, great call. One of the nicest wood fired pizza we have had in a long time. Fantastic base and very fresh toppings and served in very quick time (great when at lunch). Attentive service and great outdoor seating. Great find!!
We went there with group of friends to celebrate my Birthday in June and came back for my child's birthday in August as well. We had an Italian fiesta both times. Amazing food and lovely staff. Love that place! 10 points!
