We visited here on a Saturday when the antique market was on. It was very busy. We ordered two steaks and two drinks. My steak was lovely, I really enjoyed it. My OH's steak was considerably smaller and full of fat. He was very unhappy...with his meal. We kept trying to order drinks, but although our order was accepted the drinks never appeared. We did think it was expensive. The staff were friendly, it was lovely to sit out and look around the market. What I will say in defence of the staff is that we are English, our German is limited, therefore may have been a misunderstanding on both sides regarding the drinks.
Has what it takes to be a pub. Cozy ambience. Reasonable prices. Toilets could be nicer. At least the men's room. Always good for an after-work beer. You can meet many different types of people here. Would recommend it and always come back for a beer. : (Original Hat das Zeug zur Stammkneipe. Gemütliches Ambiente. Angemessene Preise. Toiletten könnten gepflegter sein. Zumindest die Herrentoilette. Immer wieder für ein Feierabendbierchen gut. Hier trifft man viele verschiedene Arten von Menschen. Würde es weiterempfehlen und immer wieder mal ein Bierchen trinken kommen. :

the market cafe is located in an excellent place with views of the main square, ideal place for a drink or a meal. we ordered drinks and suppen and a dish. it took age to get the food, service was slow. one of the soups came cold so we should send them back. eating was okay, but nothing special. the cakes looked good, but after this bad service we did not try any of them. we made a coffee somewhere. they have to improve!
the name 'markt cafe' already gives its location and they also have a beautiful outdoor seating area with a view of the square of the pittoresque. prices for food and drinks are average for this charming city. the value for money is good. service is also good.
we went there a few times during our stay in linz am rhein. we found the market cafe a very nice service and personal. we loved the good location and the place is very clean. good choice of drinks and some options to eat!
Netter Service, Toilette sehr veraltert, für uns aus NRW total ungewohnt, im Lokal darf geraucht werden. Sind wir nicht mehr gewohnt, und hab ich auch nicht vermisst
