As a lover of Thai cuisine I was very pleased when this restaurant opened up in my local area. The restaurant is decorated in typical Asian-restaurant fashion, perhaps a little tacky, but it is forgivable. The menu is extensive, and the staff are happy to cater for your preferences of mild, medium or hot which is an added bonus for those eating with young ones. A few of my recommendations for food include the yum yum pork, mixed entree, yellow curry, chu chee prawns, chili basil pork, and spicy pork belly (which is never in the menu but ALWAYS on the specials board).
Having spent a few years living in SE Asia I developed a taste for Asian cuisine - and hence was very disappointed with so many of the Australianised Asia restaurants here. However Meksin Banthai is awesome. If you get a bad meal here, from the extensive menu, more than likely you have made a bad choice. The food goes from bland through to exceptionally spicy and very tasty in between to suit all tastes. The restaurant is lovely and very clean and the staff very friendly and serve well. Again - absolutely brilliant and all at a great price.
My daughter recommended this restaurant and I am very happy that I went there. It was on a Tuesday evening and the place was filled with customers; always a good sign. Everyone ordered a different meal and none of us were disappointed. The food was a bit spicy for one of the ladies. If you want authentic Thai food you need to be prepared for the chillies. The waitress was helpful in explaining the menu items and recommending food that would not be too hot and spicy.

Four of us attended for a meal on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant.It has plenty of room, service is good and the food is reasonably priced.You cant beat a good thai meal and though this was not the best thai i have ever had it was very nice.The hot is pretty hot so be aware if you cant handle hot food.Will return again in the near future to try some of the other dishes.
Fabulously delicious Thai meal one evening this week with my husband; we felt we could have been in Thailand - the food was well prepared, cooked and was tasty. We have curried squid, sweet & sour fish, prawn pad thai, thai pork - absolutely worth visiting and we will definitely be back - soon. Service was friendly and attentive.
Had dinner with 4 friends. All chose a dish to share, so got to taste several dishes. We had 2 specials and 3 menu dishes with rice for 5. The specials were amazing. A duck pad Thai and a Chilli dish. The flavours on all dishes were delicious. Service was good. BYO wine, so prices overall are reasonable.
Food terrible, had entree, chicken satays, very dry, curry puffs which were greasy and they leave the dirty cutlery on the table for your main meal. The food had no flavour, very boring, wouldn't visit again.
