Upon arrival, there were only about six people in the bar area and nobody in the restaurant. The atmosphere was lacking, as it was a large and cold space. We were asked if we wanted water for the table, but it arrived to be split by the waiting staff. They mopped up without offering to take our drinks or food order. After waiting 10 minutes, we were finally asked what food we wanted and requested a drink order. After 5 minutes, they returned to check our drink order, but still did not take our food order. Two more couples were shown to their tables before our food order was finally taken. The food arrived quickly and was just okay. We paid the bill, which had already been entered by the wait...
We celebrated my man's 50th birthday at this restaurant. We had a reservation for 7 o'clock for dinner. We were seated at a table by the window which was nice. The service was a bit disappointing as we were initially attended to by the bar staff who were not as attentive as the wait staff. We both ordered steak, I asked for a medium-rare ribeye and my man asked for a well-done sirloin. When the steaks arrived, mine was cooked correctly but my man's was rare and bleeding. They took them back and 20 minutes later they returned. This time mine was okay, but my man's steak was still rare and covered in blood. My wife and I reserved dinner as part of a Winter Wanderlust package. We started with Crispy Duck Fritters and Crispy King Prawns, which were delicious. However, there was a mix-up with the dips. Despite this, the dishes were tasty. Unfortunately, there was a mistake with my wife's order of Sea Trout as it came with a cream sauce, which she cannot have due to a dairy intolerance. We sent both dishes back but when they were returned, they were both delicious. The desserts, red berry frangipane tart and vegan chocolate pave, were also outstanding. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, we enjoyed our meal at the restaurant.
The food at this restaurant was excellent, one of the best meals we've had in a long time. However, the service was lacking. Despite the restaurant being quiet, we waited twenty minutes between rounds for drinks and our glasses were often left empty. The cocktails were average at best, with the smokey old fashion being particularly disappointing as it was lacking in whisky. Additionally, two of the cocktails were delivered to our table without any explanation from the waiter, leaving us to guess what they were. Overall, a very mixed experience.

The bar service was very slow took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, my gin was in a regular pub glass as they don’t have gin glasses, disappointing for such an exclusive place. Bar men seemed incompetent. My gin was a very small measure charged at £9! Restaurant service was much better food was very well presented and of high quality but most of it was just warm not hot! First time dining here overall the restaurant is a nice experience with roof top views of Chester, we would visit again as the good outweighed the bad.
Food was excellent, really very good and would definitely go back for the food. Service however was only okay though, slow, had to ask them to clear plates, waited for drinks and it was not busy. Did not help that when we arrived they did not have any record of our booking !! Not sure how that failed as it was booked on opentable and confirmed.
The venue was great and the staff was friendly. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. We both ordered the ribeye steak, they were both undercooked but still okay. Unfortunately, one of the steaks had over 50% fat.
Unfortunately for us they had a gin tasting night on. So service was slow. Seafood Linguine tasted more like egg noodle. Issue was dealt with very satisfactorily by an attentive Manager

Great location with views over the race course. Yummy dishes and drinks. Nice service a d very attentive! I would recommend for date nite and special occasion or just dinner!
We had a pleasant brunch before heading to the races. The only downside was the water for the table priced at £5 per bottle. The food was enjoyable.
