We recently moved to the area and tried to find a new favorite sushi place. Once we found Sushi Karu we stopped looking! Tasty sushi, great portions on the trays, and fair prices. And the people working have always been very nice and provided good service.
The chicken yaki soba dinner is the ultimate comfort food. It's rare to find a place in Toronto that serves soba noodles. They also have a nice variety of sushi, with the green dragon and black dragon rolls being among my favorites.
The flavor was excellent and the portion size was decent. I requested extra ginger and they definitely met my request :D However, the crunchy roll consistently fell apart whenever I tried to pick it up, no matter how careful I was.

Small shop w/decent amount of menu choices. Just wish, as a Japanese restaurant, they'd add bento boxes to their menu!
Finally found a local sushi restaurant with high quality, delicious maki. Will definitely order from here again.
