What a fun experience! The restaurant is situated in what felt like a historic home. It was like time traveling for a while. Upon arrival, there is sign that encourages you to go say hi to Mona in the kitchen which is in the back of the house. Remindedme of my childhood days when we would drop by grandma's house and we would find her in the kitchen. The lentil soup and Baklavawere DEVINE! In addition we ordered Mona's platter and the Kafa to share and it was plenty. All the food was savory and wellworth the trip to her establishment. Mona and her assistant were warm, welcoming and friendly. Don't go starving though as theremight be a little bit of a wait between arrival and getting your food...
Highly recommended for anyone who would like to experience A piece of Lebanon with beautiful American touch resulted by an amazing friendship that takes you in a small tour inside a townhouse looking restaurant full of art and the melody of Lebanon and the taste of food that is cooked from a Lebanese hand which allows you to feel like you are in a Lebanese house and American standards at the same time , make sure you Call ahead of time if you feel like eating something specific and special and she will be more than happy to prepare it for your occasion or for your next day visit
Mona’s Cafe is a family run business featuring genuine Lebanese cuisine in a homey, historic (1900) setting. There are tables throughout the house where you can select the time on and atmosphere of your choice. We tried the Mona's platter, which includes stuffed grape leaves, hummus, bread, and tabbouleh—a great option if you want a little bit of everything. We also ordered the kibbeh. The restaurant is located in a house, so be sure to look for signs at the door to avoid getting confused when you arrive.

I have no idea where this hidden gem has been all my life, but it’s definitely a keeper! The falafel and hummus were delicious, the baba ghanouj was AMAZING, and my husband said his chicken shish taouk was quite close to his favorite place abroad. I also think the portion sizes are very reasonable for the price. You should definitely give them a try!
First time ordering and I was very excited to try their sandwiches. I ordered beed Shawarma and Chicken Shawarma, very disappointed the chicken shawarma pure was very strong, and the amount of meat was very little, the beef Shawarma you can counton how many pieces they put. I spend $26 for this!! In addition the grub hub delivered food very cold.
Mona's food is tasty the tea with roses is excellent. We tried the Mona's plate it comes with grapes leaves, hummus, bread, tabouleh is a goos option if ypu wantva little bit of everything. A bit expense for the quantity of food received but ok considering you're supporting a small business. Everything was good, except for the hummous with meat which seemed to have ground beef on top and was pretty greasy. I would try Mona's Cafe again though if I was in the area!

The most amazing hospitality and Lebanese food in northern Virginia. It is going into a Lebanese mothers kitchen where the food is always fresh and you feel like you’re at home. Mona’s is the BEST!
