Being a woman of color it pains me to write a bad review for a black owned restaurant, but this place was horrible. I was out for a low key date night with my hubby and thought we would try a new place. Wrong move. When we walked in we were greeted by the stintch of a sour mop. It took a while for the hostess to come greet us so we stood there looking clueless as a waitress, who did not acknowledge us, walked by heading to the upstairs level. Omg! So delicious I was the first to come to Morrells bbq. When I sat here patiently waiting for it, I met the owner and his mother. I knew I'd be in love with Morrell's Bbq. Here in Boston it's hard to find delicious bbq. REAL FOOD! If Mr. Morrell mentions that his mother helps to cook and prepare the food. I almost cry Lol. The brisket and beef ribs are so good?! It's just so hard to explain Mac and cheese and Greens oh my. Definitely my hangout spot for summer and autumn. Hosts and employees are incredibly ppl. Thank you. Morale bbq
Wow Morrell's BBQ is amazing! My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time and we were amazed at how tender, flavorful, and tasty the beef brisket sandwich was! Morrell's BBQ is def the best BBQ I've had in the longest time and it's awesome to have them in the area! We got the potato salad and coleslaw too and they were great sides! The BBQ sauce was soO good- we loved both but especially the hot one! And they were incredibly friendly with great customer service! Thank you we will be back!
The food is delicious but they don’t give you a good amount of meat. We ordered the 3 plate combo it barely fed my husband. I feel if you’re ordering a plate for close to $30.00 there should be more than small tiny portions of meat. The sides are an ok amount. I love the fact that they have entertainment on Saturdays. I would recommend this place for the flavor of the food but if you’re looking for more to eat don’t go.

I apologize for the poor quality of these photos! However, the food was absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding. The shrimp and goose dishes were expertly seasoned, and the cinnamon butter served with the waffles and cornbread was simply delightful.
My husband had the brisket and corn bread, both of which were good but not great. I had the pulled chicken also good but not great. The service was very friendly, though.
