Good food, service is good. But the atmosphere was weird. I thought it was a restaurant but we walked in and it felt more like a bar where they happen to sell food. But I was surprised because the food was actually pretty good as well as the service. Definitely a good spot to get drinks and catch up with friends. I took my kids and I don't think the people that were there that day felt it was a place for them.
I absolutely adore this little spot in Downey, CA! It's a charming BBQ place run by a woman. The atmosphere is pleasant, the people are friendly, and the food is great, but I primarily go for the drinks! They are unique and delicious, with prices that are reasonable. The margaritas are fantastic, and there's a lively bar vibe, especially during karaoke night! It’s such a fun neighborhood hangout!
Just got dinner tonight from there the it was the worst. I believe they sold and the new owners. Don't know what. Barbecue chicken. Is they gave us boneless breast chicken with a dabb of barbecue sauce on it not good? The macaroni and cheese was terrible as well. Nothing was good not going back ever again.
To be honest, they could improve. The chicken was dry, and while the pork ribs were decent, the beef brisket was also on the dry side. The potato salad and mac and cheese were tasty, though. The staff were very friendly. I think it might be better if they shifted to a bar concept with appetizers instead. Book a table now
First of all, the sandwiches are incredibly overpriced—$30 for a plain, small pulled pork or tri-tip sandwich the size of a hamburger bun. While the meat is decent, it doesn’t stand out in terms of flavor. The barbecue sauce tastes store-bought. Overall, it’s just not worth the price.
It seems the restaurant is under new management, and the food is fantastic—especially the BBQ ribs. I highly recommend it!
There was no chicken when we went in but other than that I don't think it's kid friendly because theres a bar next to it.
