So honestly I liked this place up until this..... I bought my family in bc they were visiting from out of state and I like the kid friendly environment. I ordered the special which was mussels. Kids food turned out good no complaints. Tried a couple mussels and they were so undercooked. I 'm a seafood lover and veteran restaurant worker so I feel like I know if it 's not right. I pointed it out to my waitress as she picked up plates. She said she knew they were that way but kitchen doesn 't listen. I really enjoy this restaurant. The games, atmosphere, and staff are all fantastic. They also have a great selection of beer. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. My wife and I ordered cocktails and food last night and were disappointed. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was underwhelming - just two small pieces of chicken between two buns with no sauce or other toppings. The tots were good though. The cocktails were small and unimpressive. Despite the disappointing food, I still love this place and used to enjoy the food more. I probably won't eat here again, but I will return for the great atmosphere.
The food at this restaurant is typical bar food. The nachos were delicious, but the hamburger was just average. The ordering process is a bit strange, as you have to get your own water from a water station, which is not ideal. Additionally, the screen prompts you for a food tip even before your order arrives. Overall, this restaurant tends to be pricier than others of its kind. I probably won't be returning since there are many other restaurants in the area that allow you to tip at the table and offer cheaper burgers.
The day I discovered this gem I made the decision to recommend it to others but more importantly, be other people 's reason for experiencing My Parents Basement for the first time. Recently that noob was my 12 year old daughter and her best friend. Watching those girls play pinball FOR LITERALLY THEIR FIRST TIME was a moment that will forever be etched into my memory. In regards to the staff, they are incredible. They are a personal hype squad when you win at the claw machine and they 're always so sweet to my kid.

They have a good amount of vegan options including a burrito, vegan gyro, vegan corn dogs, vegan burger, and a few vegan sandwiches. They have vegan meat substitutes and vegan cheese. The menu’s vegan options are labeled clearly. Most of their salads can also be made vegan. The food is good and it is definitely worth it for the atmosphere. Most of their arcade games are free to play, the ones that aren’t are only a a few cents. A really fun way to pass the time.
There is no other place like it... A bar with great food, pinball machines, and comics... Amazing! Really? Yes, indeed... And let's not forget about the super cool staff too... Ray and Pat made me feel so welcome. Be sure to visit this place for a truly cool and unique experience.
A little disappointed to see Jaws and Godzilla both turned off when we visited. But plenty of other pins played great. Always friendly service at the bar!
Very cool venue with great patio and a fancy selection of beers. Brunch portions are huge.
