I went here for dinner with my wife. As we approached the landlady was smoking on the doorstep and she flicked the butt into the weeds. No greeting as we walked in from the landlady. The staff were friendly though. I ordered spicy chicken breast and my wife ordered sea bass. The chicken looked like a frozen ready meal, but not as appetising. When it arrived the waitress had to keep stopping, despite wearing oven gloves, because the plates were too hot to handle. The chicken tasted deep-fried and microwaved (not sure how they managed that). The sea bass was oily and accompanied by soggy veg. A truly shocking experience and right up there with the worst pub food we've ever had.
We had a lovely meal at the New Inn Veryan after a long day on Carne beach , very welcoming atmosphere and lovely home made comfort food fish pie, lasagne and Lamb tagine delicious. Something for all, 3 adults and 2 children . Good choice of beers and cider served as they should be clean and tasty. We will most likely return to try other dishes from the menu.
My son and I have just had lunch at this wonderful pub. Food excellent, staff so attentive and happy too help. Great place too see and loose yourself from the hustle of the city. I went to The New Inn tonight for dinner with some friends. I was very impressed with the home-cooked, excellent food that was presented beautifully. The staff were extremely polite, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant was very clean and had thorough COVID safety measures in place. I will definitely be returning soon.
