Went there yesterday and ordered the fish of the day which was $24.00 and was the most expensive item in the menu. Accordingly I had HIGH standards as this cafe had lots of best cafe awards stuck on the door and they had quite a few customers dining. I was quite disappointed at both taste and presentation. Fish was dry and a bit chewy and tasted like it had almost no seasoning (mostly just salty). There was a line of sweet chilli dressing which really didn't work because it was very thin and too sweet so you ended with this weird sweet fish. In the menu it said caramelised onions but there were none and the veggies were just boiled...no seasoning at all. Whilst portion size was good, the pot...

Setting is nice but the service is bad. My wife and I ordered breakfast. The avocado came out rock hard so we sent it back. The replacement avocado was freezing cold so i couldnt eat it on the toast so I gave up. After they forgot to bring the bill over I went up to the counter to pay. I was checking the bill when an older staff member came over and stated "we replaced the avocado". I then remarked on the replaced avocado being too cold and then was told "what do you want us to do about it. Its avocado and its suppose to be cold". I said "every other place must be doing it wrong as its suppose to be room temp to spread on toast". At that point the staff member shrugged and walked away. Tip-t...
I went to this restaurant for the first time with friend. He used application and it says "one meal buy another meal free". We were pretty full so didn't order any dessert. Old waitress said to us "no drink, no dessert and you guys got one meal free. That's a good lunch". We didn't think that is how to treat customers. We'll never come back. And food was not very good. We were happy not to pay full price. The restaurant should provide proper training for staff. It was disgusting to have lunch there. Book a table now
We go here after work outs on the weekend for breakfast. The service is excellent as is the food. Our favourite in Crows Nest. The menu is excellent value as compared to other cafes. The eggs are free range. The coffee is ok but still a little old fashioned.
Beef cheek and veg pie was superb! Coffee was nice. I thought the service was very good, wait staff and owner (I think) were very attentive. Prices were also very reasonable. Neighbourhood gem

not bread alone in Crows Nest is a great drop in venue for coffee or a mealThe menu is extensive, although very limited for vegans.
So we ordered lunch from this place and one of my friends found a live slug in her salad.
