This place is on the busy PCH at a small mall with a parking lot, and I think it's quite a great little hidden treasure. The interior is rather modest with 8 tables and a sushi bar. Our server was quick, and the food came out at a good pace. I ordered California roll and vegetable roll for my kids, and the harbor combo for myself with 8 pieces of sushi, and a spicy tuna roll. We also got edamame. I was really pleased with the sushi--much better than I expected for the price and location. My kids scarfed down the rolls in no time, too. First time here, and it was a nice place to have dinner. The freshwater eel bowl was slightly sparse on the eel. However, that which was there was expertly roasted and prepared. The baked mussels were delicious and properly elevated with a tiny hint of spicy. The tuna roll consisted of very fresh fish and was in mostly good proportion to the rice. Lastly, I usually avoid soy in the highest of degrees. But this time, I enjoyed their miso soup quite thoroughly.
I got the Oki Doki roll, I was so disappointed. It looked nothing like the pictures, just a bunch of mush on a plate. Service was really bad, the waiter seemed annoyed when I asked for the simplest thing like utensils and napkins, what a burden I was asking for the essentials lol. Waiter seemed focus on the large groups vs me by myself. The place was busy and the reviews sounded good but I was let down for sure.

I just started working in Hermosa Beach and have not liked any of the sushi spots. Okidoki was a pleasant surprise and one of the best sushi places in the area hands down. Service, taste, and pricing are all up to par.
