I have always enjoyed Old Chicago's but we ran into a lot of problems on this visit. I made the reservation on Open Table but we got there and the host told us they did not take reservations. BUT they had a table prepared for a large party. Service was not very good. The place was next to empty but we did not get refills on our tea and water. I would have liked to have ordered another beer but the server did not come around during the beginning of our meal so as we finished our meal I no longer wanted one. We were celebrating a birthday. Not happy with this particular Old Chicago. I made a reservation for 6 adults and 3 children (2 needing high chairs). They tried to take us to a round booth in which 2 high chairs did not fit and the 1 high chair that did fit hung about 3 inches off a ledge. I told them this wouldn 't work for our group and they said we could wait 20 min for a high top table in the bar which they said fit high chairs, but when I went to look myself the high chairs were too low. Basically dont try to go there with a larger group especially if you need high chairs. They cannot accommodate you and weren 't really willing to give many options even when I made a reservation way in advance.
I enjoyed the selection of individual pizzas served in deep plates. Although the waitress didn’t write down our orders and was often distracted, she usually managed to get them correct. However, the strawberry lemonade was disappointing as it only contained strawberry concentrate at the bottom of the glass.
like the individual pizza selection with deep teller. the waitress has not written the order, always over, but it usually has it right. Strawberry limonade was only strawberry concentrate on glass bottom.
