Waited for very very long time just to get a seat, even though I could see plenty of empty tables that just needed cleaning up. Couldn’t help but feel that me being Indian had something to do with it. I’ve eaten out a lot, even in places like London, and never felt ignored like this. It just didn’t sit right with me. After feeling ignored for so long, I just ended up leaving. Places need to treat everyone the same, no matter where they’re from. Won’t be coming back until they fix this. Very disappointed.
I tried haggis here today for the first time and it was a LOT better than I thought it was going to be. But then again, I’m still not convinced that what I tried was the real thing though. Despite the fact that the one I tried was deep fried, it still doesn’t look quite like the images which come up on Google when you search for it. Is what I tried just the/a commercialised version of it??
PSA: they’ve changed their epic steak pie recipe. Just got sent a ladle of meat(that doesn’t have a quarter of the flavour the old pie had) with puff pastry on top. Very disappointing, would have went elsewhere for less had I known.
They close at 10 not 11, and we arrived around 9:45. The dining room was closed by then but they packed up a nice serving of fish and chips for my mate and I to carry out

Nice, relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Good selection of food with the seafood stew being a real find, very tasty.

The fish and chips were excellent, but the only downside was that the tea was served cold.
