We found the food to be very good. The setting on the lake was nice. Unfortunately the service could have been better. We were early (6 pm) with not that many tables full. It took the server well over 5 minutes to come to the table. We had to wait a little after we finished our main course for the server to come and see about desert. When it came time to pay the bill it took quite a while after we provided the credit card for the server to return with receipt to sign. Even though business was starting to pick up it still took too long to return for us to sign the receipt.
Our dining experience last night at On The Veranda was perfect. I went with my sister, and we were shown to a delightful table for two overlooking the lake. The food was excellent, and our waiter Tate was wonderful. We never felt rushed while we had our “sister time”, but he was always available to check on our drinks, or bring us our next course. It was a perfectly relaxing happy evening. My sister has recently finished radiation treatments and this was a very special time for us together. Our dinner at On The Veranda did not disappoint!
Incredible food and location on the shore of Lake Sequoyah. We have been coming to OTV for a 30 years and it doesn’t disappoint. The horseradish encrusted Halibut special is melt-in-your mouth delicious and they have an excellent wine by the glass selection. Sitting at the bar while having a cocktail and appetizer is a relaxing evening with great service. Check out the specials board for innovative appetizers like grilled grapes and whipped feta.
The food at this restaurant was excellent, but unfortunately, everything took a considerable amount of time. This was not our server's fault, as he provided excellent service. However, it appeared that the restaurant was short-staffed. In total, our dining experience took over two hours.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. We tried the curry shrimp, scallops, and cod, and all three dishes were delicious. The service was also outstanding.
