My coworkers and i have been to this place many of time for lunch and we have always had a great experience. Today we had gone for lunch and the experience was not what we expected it to be. Water was spilled on one of us and the serves didn’t even bother to ask if me if i wanted to take the left-over rice she just took it and placed it with the soup, when she notice that I did want the left over rice she took it out from the other plates and said “it’s still good you can take it” I politely said no but she kept on insisting that I take the rice that it was still good. she did bring me what I hope to be fresh rice to take home with me. When we paid our bill, we walked out to the parking lot...

This restaurant is one of our happy places and have been coming here for over a decade. The service is always exceptional and the dishes are phenomenal. Tonight, we had a small bowl of Tom Kha Gai, Pad Thai, and chicken Panang curry. As expected, the coconut milk soup, Tom Kha Gai, tasted like home; soothing and relaxing. The Pad Thai was perfect. Other Thai restaurants go easy on the tamarin sauce or overcook the noodles. As usual, the Panang curry is delicious. Other Thai restaurants make this curry too sweet or too fish saucy or the meat is too tough. Here, the Panang curry is so good that we've considered bathe in it many times. The Tom Yum soup was amazing but the fried rice was a bit lacking...good but not as flavorful as others that I've had. The Penang Curry was outstanding... It's a nice authentic setting. But the lady who was taking my order was short with me, impatient and didn't want to suggest anything. I'm Asian so I can differentiate cultural nuance from attitude. Not everyone who comes in knows what they want. Now I tend to look elsewhere for Thai food...I'll probably still come by, but just for takeout.

There are two Krung Thai locations, but I always prefer this one. The other location tends to be very crowded. This is the original Krung Thai, and as long as you’re not concerned about fancy decor, the food is nearly identical. Dishes are served quickly, and the flavor is consistently good. The waiter always remembers our names and knows exactly what we like to order. Be sure to try the coconut ice cream when you visit! Book a table now

If this is the original location, does that mean there are others? Is the original always the best? Was there some kind of disagreement that led to this? Is it all just a clever marketing strategy? Isn’t there another Krung Thai within five miles? So many questions and only one mouth to ask and to savor the food. Discover the answers to these questions and more when you visit the restaurant!

Eating out, out is all about the food. But the service here is great. Atmosphere is casual. Portion size is standard. Food is tasty, cravaeble, and delicious. Had lunch here with the wife. Pad Thai, parang curry, chicken satay, and mango sticky rice with creamy coconut milk. Service: Dine in Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I can only comment on the vegetarian options, but they are really good. In some Thai restaurants, you often have to order very spicy dishes to get good flavor. However, at Krung Thai, even the medium or mild dishes are packed with taste. Their pad thai is decent, but their curries are outstanding.

Hmm this is not best place in town, talking about Thai food. Places is packed. Service is better than other Thai. Food is good. Could be better and more flavorful yes. There are better Thai in San Jose definitely. But it’s a good place. They have a lot of options. Service is good. Pet friendly. Book a table now

This is definitely one of my favorite places! I had the moo kra theim and the basil chili garlic, and they were delicious. The string beans with chili (listed as 93a on the menu) are also excellent. I returned a couple of nights ago and tried the mango and sticky rice, which was super tasty!
