We had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and we loved it so much that we visited twice within 24 hours. The meals we had were not only tasty but also affordable. On our first night, the waitress mentioned that they only stock a limited amount of sashimi to ensure freshness, so we opted for a variety of other dishes instead, all of which were fantastic. The next morning, we returned specifically for the sashimi, and it did not disappoint—it was definitely worth the visit. Without a doubt, this place offers the best Japanese cuisine in the city, with incredibly friendly service to match!

V friendly staff who served us : Food wise Good n should try: Sashimi, okonomiyaki, tempura squid, sake. Ok to try: Gyu don (the beef was nice tasty but the rice was not sticky enough . Ramen (7 day tonkotsu : generous slices of charsiew, maybe i'm used to a thicker stock, cos i found it abit bland for me. Oh yes n only order from the menu cos we tried ordering yuzu highball (not in the menu , which tasted more like yuzu sake kudos to the staff for trying thou!

Ive tastes many ramen and I believe The homemade tonkotsu ramen was one of the worse ramen I’ve ever had. Definitely does not worth $21! The broth was bland and the ramen was way over cooked. The only saving grace was the eggs. Miso glazed eggplant was also a miss. It looks like eggplant with miso sauce rather than glazed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

1. Tuna Sashimi: If you're looking for fresh seafood in Tasmania, this is a must-try! The sashimi was perfectly fresh and made for a fantastic starter. 2. Seafood Hotpot: This dish featured salmon, flathead, basa, mackerel, and mushrooms. It was a clean and light meal, showcasing perfectly cooked fish. It wasn’t overly fishy and tasted even better with every bite. Book a table now

This is an authentic Japanese Izakaya-style restaurant offering delicious charcoal-grilled dishes and a variety of small plates. The wine list is impressive, featuring four pages of sake, many of which are available by the glass. I highly recommend trying the soft shell crab and chicken karaage paired with sake.

We stopped for lunch. Enjoyed a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and sake. Great service, corn in the ramen was new and not mentioned on the menu. Not a fan personally. Great sake and atmosphere but very quiet as we visited on a weekday. Would not hesitate in going back to try some more high quality japenese dishes.

Excellent service! The sashimi was wonderfully fresh, and the ramen was incredibly flavorful. The deep-fried octopus balls were delicious as well. Hobart is fortunate to have a selection of fantastic Japanese restaurants, and this one ranks among the best. Highly recommend!
