My first time visiting yesterday for a Sunday roast, it was nice. Service a little slow but the place was busy so we didn't mind! I asked for some extra gravy half way through my meal as my Yorkshire pudding seemed very dry without, after 10 minutes it arrived and by that point I'd eaten most of my meal, then when the bill came I was in complete shock that they had charged me £5 for a small pot of extra gravy!! There was no mention of this by the waitress when I asked for some more, the meal itself was £20 so to pay £5 more for some gravy, I just couldn't believe it! Not sure I would return for another roast but possibly for steak.
I went to this restaurant for my birthday, and my wife had made a reservation six weeks in advance. When we arrived, the waiter seated us at a table near the door next to a loud group, even though we saw other walk-in customers getting better tables. We asked to move, but our request was denied. Despite the draft from the door and the noisy group nearby, the food was very good and reasonably priced. I suggest that the restaurant consider giving priority seating to those who make reservations in advance, as it was disappointing to be given a subpar table despite booking ahead of time.
Our overall dining experience was fantastic. We felt a bit hurried because we arrived late and weren't aware that the table needed to be turned quickly. The steaks we ordered were delicious! Our first waitress could have been more helpful and polite, but the male waiter who took over later was outstanding and enhanced our dining experience. He even moved a noisy group of men near the entrance. We will definitely be coming back!
While visiting friends in the area, we were told that this restaurant was the perfect spot for Sunday dinner. Our friends were right! The food was amazing, our server Tabitha was excellent, and the venue was fantastic. Although we don't live nearby, we will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Portion size for starters, main and desert were generous. Quality and style of food was excellent. The whole purpose of being here, the steak was second to none. Thoroughly recommended at any time, but especially for the £1 an ounce offer. Could not recommend enough
Highly recommend. The best steak around, I’ve been 4 times and every time the quality is amazing. Even better on the £1 an ounce days a cheap, high quality meal! The staff are really friendly and welcoming too. Great place : !
WOW WOW WOW!!! Without a doubt, this is the best Sunday lunch I've ever had in my 50 years! The beef was unbelievable, the vegetables were tasty, and the bone marrow jus was amazing. You have to check this place out.
After hearing so many amazing reviews, we finally visited Ounce and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend and the staff were brilliant too. The £1 an ounce deal is defo worth trying :

The restaurant is charming and the food is wonderful. The wine was placed on the table for us to pour ourselves, which is very unusual these days for a nice restaurant.
We had been discussing going to this restaurant for a while, and we are glad we finally did. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was laid-back.
