after we have been excited from puerto de la cruz, we were half dead and thoroughly dewatered by the time we reached restaurante papillion. After they had circled past a tourist information that did not sell drinks, and a closed restaurant, it was a real relief that this was open. the food we ordered was great (wrinkly kartoffeln) and the aquarius was in abundant supply. in total exactly what we needed, with friendly staff and many shaded seats. we had the energy we needed to get the vulcan!

2300 meters above sea level in a moon landscape that has strange living, good eating and drinks, they do not go to teneriffa unless they are ready to go there. they can go much higher, cable car, but this is really high, watching their physical condition! everyone can visit the restaurant, 2300 meters are not a big thing unless they drive a bike. bring them plenty of water, and caffeine loaded aspirin only for the case, regardless of their old!

must stop and eat while on mt teide and expects expensive low quality food. reality could not be any more! for a place that has to deal with random amounts of tour buses, the service was prompt and polite. the food was quickly served and delicious and well cooked (glazed ribs and pommes). do not hesitate to visit again.

We were admitted no matter it was almost closed while coming back from the Teide cable car station. Both my wife and I were urgently in need of a toilet since at the cab station all was closed. We just ordered a coffee. The ambient is nice, but I can't say anything about the food. Service however was lazy.
