Pekadill's is such a unique restaurant that features soups, salads, sandwiches and even ice cream! This unique spot has an outdoor garden area with several tables where you can eat and enjoy the beauty of a koi pond, green grass and beautiful flowers. If you stop on a rainy day, don't worry, there is also indoor seating. Pekadill's gets very busy during the spring and summer months, but don't let that discourage you from visiting! Although they can get very busy, the service is always great and your food will still be served within a reasonable amount of time. On the recommendation of a friend my wife and I made a trip to Pekadill's. It was easy to find, just a few blocks off the Whitehall street. I was told that the customer ordered and paid at the counter which we did and headed outside to the many available seats in the garden in the back yard. Actually the whole backyard is a garden filled with many flowers and plants adding to the sunny pleasant ambience. Being away from the Main Street, it was a quiet place to get away and spend time together conversing. The bus staff delivered our food which was presented favorably. Such a hidden gem! We came by bicycle and ordered the French Dip and the Super Salad and were not disappointed. I got the potato salad as a side with my sandwich and while it was pretty good, the French dip was the star. Soft bread, melty cheese and lots of roast beef. I ordered the whole because I thought I was really hungry but couldn't finish it. Hubby got the Super Salad. Loads of turkey with lots of greens, sunflower seeds, cucumber and more that I can't recall. It was so big he had to get a to go container for later. Both meals with drinks was around $34 I believe. A little pricy for lunch, but the service and ambience were worth it. I can't wait to go back, I'm craving that French dip...
We stumbled upon this place leaving Electric Forest and our crew was starving. We stopped for what looked like some quick, hearty sandwiches and were happily surprised at the quality and the prices! The drink options were amazing and we sat on the beautiful patio that was so shaded and magical! We then finished with some of their ice cream selection and continued our journey home. We will be back next year!

What a lovely lunch stop! The garden in back is adorable and there are several tables inside, both up front and in back of the restaurant. Service was incredibly friendly and efficient. Menu selection is huge. We tried the Sueben and the corn beef. Both were fabulous. Bread was fresh, sandwiches were stuffed and each came with a side.
We ordered a hot dog, tuna sandwich, turkey club sandwich, and Macaroni and cheese. Those were just OK. I also ordered the chicken dumpling soup but it was not what I expected. Instead of a clear soup, it was with a cream base. I suggest avoiding that one.
Food is fresh and delish. Comfort food in a charming, beautiful, vintage setting with a beautiful outdoor space for your dining pleasure. Feast for the eyes, tummy and good for the soul.
I have only tried your ice cream but I heard the food is amazing but verry pricey. My father says the coleslaw is good and one of his favorites
