The area is amazing. We have been coming to camp here for 25+ years. The facilities are nice and they’re always updating. The campsites are large and there are electric sites as well if you want to upgrade. There is so much to do. Biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayak and paddle board rentals, and so much more. I would give it 4.5 stars because of a few things: •pit toilets were closed this year (understand being short staffed but one of the bathrooms said only that they’re not cleaned regularly so they could potentially do the same with all the pit toilet bathrooms). •the lower bathrooms on the south Nicolet bay campground are disgusting the amount of spider webs and spiders hanging down...

The Peninsula State Park is a great destination for hiking. The Adlerweg trail is fantastic, and I highly recommend it for experienced hikers. My husband and I tackled the entire trail with our 12-year-old, 9-year-old, and 4-year-old. However, I should note that it may not be suitable for young children unless you're able to carry them on your shoulders over uneven terrain for a few hours. The view tower offers stunning scenery and is accessible for those in wheelchairs. The beach was a bit rough, but that was fine since we didn't plan on swimming. Additionally, for those interested in practical amenities, there are excellent showers and a foot washing station available, which makes it easy...
Enjoyed a three night stay in a non-electric campsite. Campsite host was helpful. This park has a lot to offer and has an incredibly high number of people biking so be very careful when traveling around. Bike rentals available in town or at the beach in the park. The various hiking trails are also busy. The Eagle Trail is nice but very difficult to travel on in parts...not for the frail or unambitious. The Park also has a nice golf course and professionally-manged outdoor musical production company.
A bit rainy and cooler yesterday when we went, however we did have a nice view of the Eagle Bluff lighthouse which was beautiful to see as well as a private island. Definitely will be back when the weather is nicer out. Still a very beautiful sight to see though and captured some photos to remember my experience. Brings me back nostalgic memories, due to the fact I went up to Door county a lot as a kid. Book a table now
I always enjoy returning to this park. The breathtaking views from the nature trails are truly remarkable. Peninsula State Park offers so much to explore, and there are still trails that I haven't had the chance to discover, but I plan to. I'm looking forward to experiencing the newly constructed handicap-accessible tower. Unfortunately, when I visited the park this winter, it was closed for the season.
We really enjoy going to this park. There is plenty of things to do no matter what your taste is. The rebuilt tower has fantastic views the ramp makes it much easier for those with mobility problems. Just a small note: cell phone/internet reception is very spotty. I enjoyed having no cord attached. Some others in our group were frustrated.
This is one of the most stunning state parks. It offers a range of hiking trails, from easy to challenging, making it a great spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Just keep in mind that there are some bugs and mosquitoes in certain areas, so it's a good idea to bring along some bug spray. Overall, it's a fun place to hike!
Huge park with fantastic hiking and biking trails. Easy to bike right into Fish Creek for shopping and dining. Boat and Kayak launch sites. Kayak and bike rental. Food Trucks and Camp store! Many campsites right on the water. Easily worth a 4 day stay Book a table now
Love how the park is layer out. The tower is access friendly. Beautiful! The lighthouse and it's story is really nice. The views are beautiful. We rented mopeds (right outside the park from Edge of the Park Rentals) and it was so enjoyable.
