This was our second time visiting this restaurant, as our first experience with the food and service was great. We decided to bring some friends along for a meal before heading to the theater during the holiday season. Unfortunately, on this visit we encountered a few issues. I had made a reservation for a birthday Sunday lunch with friends. When we arrived at the restaurant, we asked about our booking but there was no record of it. We were told we could sit anywhere and were given menus to order at the bar. We asked about the Sunday Lunch menu but were unsure if it was available. The food was good but the place lacked atmosphere. When we arrived it was almost empty but still we were put on the worst table in the place. we asked to move and were initially told that the other tables were booked although none were taken by the time we left. We were then allowed to move. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly tasty and hot. However, dessert was another matter. I ordered the Affogato only to be told they had no coffee!!!!! I had no dessert and just asked for the bill which they then overcharged on the credit card machine a refund was forthcoming when I noticed it but all in all it was a disappointing end to the evening.
I had visited the Pint Shop a few years ago and was thoroughly impressed, so I was a bit let down this time around. While the food was still delicious, the portions seemed noticeably smaller and the presentation left much to be desired. This experience has me hesitant to return and consider exploring other options. However, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was wonderful. The cocktails were enjoyable as well.

Great food and drink however service vary variable all over us prior to ordering then we were ignored once our mains were cleared. When eventually we were served desserts we had to wait ages for the bill whereupon we had to listen to the server complaining about bad customers! The service experience greatly detracted from what was a very good lunch.
The service wasn’t the best, with wine not available but only told that when the wrong wine was brought to the table, extra dishes offered that weren’t ordered. Christmas menu was available but wasn’t offered. Portions were small for the cost.
I really enjoy the beer and food at this restaurant. The bartenders are always very friendly and knowledgeable. It's just a shame that there aren't more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu.
The "bar grub" at this restaurant was just okay, but it did not meet my expectations in terms of food quality. I was hoping for something more based on the description provided.
