Ordered an Ayam Bakar Penyet (grilled chicken, fried tofu, tempeh, salad and chilli) and a curry chicken for delivery tonight. Prices were quite reasonable for what we got, at $12+ and $10 respectively. The grilled chicken maryland was succulent and tasty. The tofu and tempeh were fine, but seemed a bit stingy with only a small piece each. My main gripe with this style of Indonesian dish is the lack of sauce for the rice, which would have helped a lot. Luckily, the rice was fluffy and quite well done, and we had curry from the curry chicken dish to help with that.<br/ <br/ The curry chicken was quite generous, with a whole big box full of sauce. They gave us 2 drumsticks and a thigh piece, s...

I visited this Indonesian cafe for the first time and found the decor to be humble and simple. There were copies of newspapers on the wall showcasing the owner's history, which I found interesting. We ordered the fried chicken with turmeric rice, which was full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection. It came with a homemade chili sauce and salad. Although the chili sauce was very spicy, it didn't compare to the one at another Indonesian restaurant. I was hoping for a chili sauce with a stronger fragrance and freshness, but this one fell a bit short. Overall, it was a good dining experience. The prices were reasonable, especially consid...

my wife ordered the nasi goreng (which was great), but I was disappointed by the cap cai stir fried vegetables. I usually go with my touching fried vegetables for the huh, but when we went into this restaurant, the pictures that accompanied the menu. showed many seafood, so I went for it. not only was there so little seafood on the plate, but it had 6 pieces tofu that I unloved. I don't remember tofu when I saw the picture of the meal in the menu. even when I went to pay, I did not see any announcement about the fees being applied when they used their credit card so I paid with credit card and was hit with a 1.5% surcharge. a good business shows all the additional surcharges and/or advises t...

We had a wonderful experience at the charming little Indonesian restaurant called "Herbal House" located next to the Queen Victoria Market. Our friend, who is originally from Indonesia, introduced us to three delicious dishes: Gado-gado, Kwetiau Goreng, and Lontong Seyur, along with Tempeh and Teh Tarik. It was a true taste of Indonesia! We also enjoyed the second round of desserts, including black rice with coconut milk, and a delicious mix of sweet potato, pumpkin, and banana with coconut milk. Overall, a delightful culinary adventure. Book a table now

Came past this Indonesian joint after work one day and tried out the Nasi Uduk Ayam Kremes Iga Bakar Sapi Penyet, both dishes were pretty tasty and flavoursome. I really enjoyed the sides that came with the main meats, and the chilli paste was amazing. I might be partial to Indonesia food but this place was a great feed. Highly recommended for a quick meal.

Wonderful small busy place with owner in a hands on role cooking for his customers.<br/ Food is delicious and fresh. I good variety of dishes and including desserts that you won’t see around a lot. The crispy skin chicken that they are so famously know for is justified. Great flavours, friendly service.<br/ Must come and try.<br/

Great place to get Indonesian food at the heart of Melbourne CBD. Came here a couple times and the best picks were the Soto Betawi and fried rice, but also had the ribs and fried chicken on other occasion and it was also delicious. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Always happy to eat here.

The lontong sayur is my favorite dish at this restaurant. The staff is friendly and the menu has authentic offerings. I appreciate that there is no minimum limit for using their EFTPOS machine. Book a table now
