Atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, the waiters were very fast and excellent. As soon as you sit down they hand you fresh hot chips and a very sweet and tangy salsa (which was amazing) and they then gave me a bowl of guacamole which was just as good. I Ordered a chimichanga and flan later after, and let me tell you. The chimichanga tasted as if they cooked everything individually then added it all together to make a fresh and mouthwatering beast of a chimichanga. The enchiladas were good, but the burrito was just okay. After finishing our meal, we found ourselves waiting and waiting while the waiter chatted with another customer at the bar just five feet away—he certainly wasn’t overwhelmed. After 15 minutes passed, we finally had to interrupt them to get our bill, only to discover they charge for water. Seriously? They charge for tap water!
We love visiting Highlands, but we won't be returning to this restaurant. Instead, we’ll head back to Los Vaqueros, where the food is great and the service is excellent. Perhaps the waiter/manager/owner could spend some time there learning how to properly care for customers.
I was really looking forward to enjoying some good Mexican food, so I drove over an hour to reach this restaurant. Unfortunately, after being seated, no one attended to us. The next group that arrived after us was immediately given service, receiving drinks and menus right away. Meanwhile, we waited five minutes for at least a glass of water, and still nothing. After another five minutes, my wife suggested we leave, so we wasted about an hour of our time. The first time we dined there, we loved it and even recommended it to many friends. However, after this experience, I will not be returning, no matter how good the food may be.
What an amazing restaurant! It served the best Mexican food I've had in ages, and I really wish they were located in Atlanta! I enjoyed the chips, salsa, guacamole, and generous flour tortilla tacos that were flavorful without being too heavy, made with incredibly fresh ingredients. Their margaritas were exceptional, unlike any I've ever tried before—absolutely delicious. When you add in the welcoming atmosphere, great music, and friendly, helpful staff, it made for a fantastic dining experience. The next time I'm in Highlands, I will definitely pay them a visit!

This restaurant provided a truly delightful experience. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was exceptional. The manager, Kayla (if I remember her name correctly), was outstanding. We are thrilled to have discovered such a gem. I can’t praise this place enough! I tried the Limoncello mojito and the green apple margarita, and both were absolutely divine. BY FAR THE BEST Mexican food we have had in the United States and Mexico! We travel a lot and we have never had better Mexican food. Enrique who created the menu knows authentic Mexican and you can taste the difference.
