Another great meal at Basq; service was present but not pushy; food was outstanding; this place deserves all the allocades it gets. My wife had the gnochi - well made and the dish was seasoned to perfection. I had the scotch fillet and 3 mustards; expertly grilled and just a delight. The service was well managed; not in your face but always present. Just love this place - please keep up the superb attention to detail!
A great night out, I have been several times before but the rest of our party were first timers, from a 70 year old to15 year olds. I had braised beef cheeks wonderful, steaks were cooked as ordered. My son enjoyed the lamb 3 ways even though he had lamb the night before, my granddaughter had fish as per usual which she loved. Service was great and atmosphere good. Give it a try!!
Came in for the first time on a cold and stormy night. The restaurant was heated brilliantly without feeling stuffy.I had beef cheeks which were melt it your mouth and my husband had two starters, the deep fried cheese and twice baked cheese soufflé (he's a cheese addict!). Great flavours and went perfectly with a good glass of Tempranillo.Can't wait to return!
Went for a birthday celebration and this has been our fifth visit. On each occasion the staff have greeted us immediately and were friendly without being intrusive. The food has been wonderful on each occasion and our group of five enjoyed everything we had.Beef cheeks were soft and delicious as was the chicken. All in all a great evening. Book a table now
We have been here a couple of times for lunch and dinner.The food is always good although we have had one or two average meals. Try the lamb shoulder if you are not offended by red meat. It is a meat lover's must have with a good helping of garlic. Yum!
Visited with friends for dinner. Very friendly and attentive staff that gave us time to chat before ordering. The food is Portugese based but has other varieties if you wish. The servings were generous and very tasty. It is BYO wine which is also good.
Basq was one of the first restaurants we found after moving north. We have been back many times and most recently for their new breakfast menu. We are always received warmly and served wonderful, tasty meals.
Stopped in for breakfast and was not surprised after eating dinner prior, to be served a great salmon omelette in truffle oil. Highly recommend for breakfast. Book a table now
Food is absolutely awesome. Staff were perfect. Only suggestion, get a bigger place. It's a little cramped in there. But more than worth it for the food.
