Restaurant Fonzes - Table reservation

We were quite late for lunch but the staff here were more than happy to seat and serve us and several more tables after us. The staff were extremely friendly and very quick with the service. We all ate from the bistro menu. Started with a tasty salad followed by the tarragon chicken, trout and rib eye (there were 4 of us! . The steak was huge and we took about half of it home with us as a doggy bag. The trout was incredibly fresh, well cooked and beautifully presented. The chicken was succulent and not overpowered by the sauce. No room for deserts but they looked lovely. The view was spectacular. We walked in because of the lovely aspect over the gorge. It was a busy day and we had to wait to be seated but once we ordered the food arrived within minutes and we had to wait quite a long time for water, wine and bread. Not the dining expereince one would like. The mains/salad were quite average, however the cafe gourmand was very good.

Quite a limited menu with some of the options not available. Opted for bistrot menu of a starter and a main dish. chicken, trout, tartar, meatballs) . Trout was really fresh and well made from a fish farm situated right on the premises of a restaurant. Chicken and tartar were average. The view definitely compensates it all.

We waited more than 40 minutes for a very expensive, not good at all, cold food. Views are amazing and services is very nice. But we will not go back and we will not recommend it.

little long service, foie gras EXCELLENT, long service for a medium tasty noudle chicken personal nice but again long service overall fair
