A year later, I decided to return and try the nachos, but I was a bit disappointed. They looked great, but unfortunately, the flavor didn’t match up. I may have overlooked it, but I didn’t expect there to be olives in my nachos. The dim lighting in the movie room made it difficult to identify what was what—beans, olives, cheese, chicken, and possibly rice. Honestly, I’m not even sure if there was any rice in there, but I maintain my point. Just like before, I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere of this smaller movie theater. This charming little theater offers tasty buttered popcorn and a variety of ginger beer and Izze drinks for sale. I really appreciate that they showcase films that are harder to find. During my visit, I watched "All of Us Strangers." While the sound quality in the theater wasn't as impressive as I had hoped—probably because we were seated in the back instead of the middle—it didn’t ruin the overall experience. Coming from the North Bay, it's refreshing to discover theaters like this one. Just a heads up, parking can be tricky since most nearby spots have meters that only allow for up to 3 hours.
First return to the Rialto since pandemic started. Happy how this theater has literally cleaned up its act: the greasy old upholstery chairs and funky tables that were up front are gone, yay! Great staff, tasty food. My only ding is for the dark projection. Was watching Barbie, which should be super colorful and bright, and the visuals were rather dark and dim. Does projector need a new bulb?
Good quality has plummeted while prices have skyrocketed. New bar tables are hard to eat at . Seem overstaffed yet no one at ticket counter so you need to stand in food line before claiming your seat which is annoying. Good selection of movies , but skews more towards marvel/mainstream stuff nowadays

I'm loyal to this place and appreciate their free shows and special programs. However often the decibel level is deafening, both for trailers and features. I complained but don't seem to be interested in turning down the volume. This kind of thing makes people prefer to stay home.
Ah, they updated seats and tables since I wrote this, and it's much cleaner and easier to find seats. They also have a better way of checking tickets purchased online. Great beer on tap and pizza that's tasty and easy to eat in the dark. It's a solid 5-star!
One line for tickets and food? I bought my tickets online but still had to wait in the food line to get in the movie. Very inefficient system. This place is poorly run and under staffed I don't recommend this location Go to Richmond or Emeryville instead.
