Located on the corner of Elizabeth and Arthur Street, it was easy to easily find with a large orange color printed with its name in black. As soon as we went to the restaurant, we got the impression that she was a serious steak square: warmth, lighting, wooden tables and black pillow seats, large steak knives ready to use together with kneekins and accompanied with really wonderful and friendly staff to be sitting by us promptly.

This was our introduction to Hobart dining, and we were thoroughly impressed! It's very similar to the Squires Loft chains in Melbourne & QLD, with quality steak and fish, warm and modern renovation of a typical Hobart corner pub, and fantastic staff.
I had the Fish of the Day which was a beautifully cooked Kingfish which melted in the mouth (not even a huge seafood fan either!), served with potato Rosti, flavoursome steamed vegetables and a delicious sour bearnaise sauce.
My partner had the Salmon Skewers served with rice and mushrooms, smaller serving than the fish and lacked the same X factor but enjoyable nonetheless. Fantastic experience and highly recommended along a street that...
The restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere and the serving staff were great, ready to help and make recommendations. They have a really decent wine list! My steak was really yummy & came with a nice mash & Waldorf salad. There is no kids menu, but there are a few options on the sides menu. It is a shame that if you want veggies with your meal they have to be ordered as a side, as that does push up the overall cost of the meal. But the the food is really good, so it's worth it for a special night out. Special mention must be made of the Indulgent Chocolate Soup - Indulgent indeed! It's a very saucy chocolate pudding & it was amazing... A good one to share as it's quite big!
Another rainy afternoon and another late lunch, this time in Hobart, Friends booked the Roaring Grill for a catch up that turned into a pleasant arvo of good food & drink
We all opted for the three course set menu at $49
I chose the Calamari followed by the home made sausages and to finish, the whisky Creme Brûlée all washed down with a few Asahi (on tap) so four from four for me!! The missus, as did the rest, had the steak followed by the chocolate soup nicely accompanied with a local Pinot Noir, all were pleased with their choices, the staff were efficient and attentive
All in all an enjoyable arvo, could have easily lingered longer

Great food and really good portions, but you will certainly pay for it. Maybe a little expensive, but the experience is worth it. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We had only a minimal complaint - we went on that the net had not come with one side (given that it is not suggested), and we ordered us unnecessarily a page between us. My only proposal for the management: Let the customers know what a meal is served! I would definitely recommend the roaring barbecue if you are looking for a relaxing experience with excellent food with excellent food to go.
Had the pork ribs and 300g Scotch. Both were delicious. Rib meat dropped from the bone. Sauce was sticky and sweet. Steak was delicate, juicy with good charging for smoke taste. Potato card potato pages was a beautiful accompaniment and apple cabbage salad. Only released was seasonal green side dish. They were damped what's alright when I cook at home, but I expect that I had some seasoning / aroma from a restaurant. The service was excellent.

Had the ribeye on the bone, ordered as a middle r rare and specified to be in the rare side. It was essentially cooked and I'm not sure if it was the quality of the beef, to which I am used to tastie. Grief

A very friendly place to eat. My table became all steaks (which they all loved!) And I got the ribs and chicken combination. Ribs were incredible, chicken was a bit different. You have an amazing side dishes with mushrooms you need to order !! It is wonderful!

I have ordered from the previous verification, but I changed the pork rib with the spicy chicken wings into the size size. The spicy sauce is a bit weird. Otherwise, the meat are good and the quality of the service is excellent
