Stopped in with a group of 6 while passing through Glasgow on vacation. We chose Roast mainly due to the high ratings on trip advisor. We placed our order with the cashier and sat down while we waited for our order. The cashier who also doubles as a food prep began cleaning up, clearing customers dirty dishes, mashing food and garbage down into the trash can with his bare hands. When he was done he wiped his hands on his apron, guess that made them all clean. The cashier proceeded to help the next customers who came in. After taking their order he began making their sandwiches. At this point it was a train wreck and no one in our group could look away. The cashier got food from the sandwich...

Visited Roast today and both me and my wife had the philly cheese steak sandwich. Despite the billboard outside the shop claiming it will change your life, I was pretty disappointed. Basically it was a ciabatta with strips of chewy steak and something resembling cheese. No onions, peppers, sauce etc. Worst of all the cheese seemed to have been placed on the sandwich cold. The price was reasonable, think it was £12.20 for two sandwiches and two cans of juice. I liked the cosy environment of the cafe, the staff seemed pleasant. P.S. Picture only shows half of the sandwich which I opened for the purposes of the picture.

If in the area, this is well worth a visit. You could be excused for walking past without going in, as its nothing special from the outside. I had 3 sliders with varying fillings, steak and cheese, piri piri chicken and pulled brisket, difficult to pick a favourite as they were all beautiful. This is a place you will return to often

Still can’t get over how good the food is, the sandwiches (pulled pork and Cubano are my favourites) are amazing and can be ordered as a salad. Only complaint would be the lack of space for queuing, during busy times I feel like I’m back on a Tokyo subway Book a table now

As always.... the best sandwiches in Glasgow! Made fresh to order, the cheese steak or Cubano are my go to favourites! Highly recommend. So pleased they’re open for takeaway now!

The food at Roast is amazing. My favourite is the beef brisket sandwich with gravy and mini onions. The huge portion is enough for 2 people for a quick lunch

We went there on our second day in the morning and then we started to go everyday until we leave. Everything is amazing and the staff are very friendly.
