It was not sure about this place. 8 pm on Thursday and very few people. The people who were there were not eaten, just drink. Was there a lot and pleasantly surprised. Bar person serving us was very friendly and suggested chicken wings, slide and cauliflower. Chicken wings were delicious. More sweet soy than five spice. A bit expensive, if $ 12 for 4 wings. Carbon cabbage rooms became well roasted with spices and Tahini gave him a beautiful extra aroma and creaminess. Slider was good, but nothing special. It was bigger than I expected it was $ 9.

Imaginative and spacious breakfast for everyone in the room for a pony. Grief I liked the venue that is more concerned than first hit the eye. Most importantly, the menu had numerous tempting dishes - if we had only a few extra days to taste more! Potato potato in the morning was something new for me, which came with smashed avocado, poached eggs, toast, toast and was well seasoned. I also tried the Nutella French toast; A very rich and satisfactory option for the sweet tooth.
Room for a Pony is a hip spot in the middle of North Hobart to meet friends. It has lots of seating both indoor and outside (including a grassed area you can lay on). Their menu is good if you want proper food, but they don't really have snacks. They have a large drinks menu with a good selection of wines.I ordered the smoked salmon bagel from the menu and it blew my mind, I didn't realise a bagel could taste so good.
The service was pretty friendly, but very, very slow. We waited for a good 45 minutes before we receive our food, which was a bit of fighting in the heat. Grief Grief The food was pretty average, the potato Rosti was delicious, outside crispy and outwardly fluffy. But the sausage and bacon we ordered were very, very dry, which in my opinion is unusual. And the inserted mushrooms were not well received. Book a table now
This place is a total gem. Awesome menu, plenty of GF and vegan options and the coffee is magnificent. The staff are just delightful and the food is exceptional. Had the avocado & feta on (GF) toast; added a side of salmon which was a generous portion. The addition of capers and fresh dill was a lovely surprise. Highly recommend!
In the past we've stopped by 'the Pony', as my wife calls it, for an occasional drink - we've liked it. They've recently added wood fired pizzas and we have gone up a notch. It's a warm venue on a cold wet night with a nice fire, very friendly staff and seriously good pizza.Wines by glass are good and reasonably priced...
We had breakfast here when we were in Hobart recently. A little way out of the CBD but this is either worth the walk (uphill - makes room for the great food!) or pretty easy parking if you drive (at least on a Sunday). Great selection. REAL tea (not tea-bags) what a bonus. Super eggs and bread/toast. Recommended.
Lunch with the family - enthusiastically with the food (drawn pork burdrito bowl, sushi rice bowl, potato RESIST) ... everyone explained very satisfied. Coffee was not as good as it could be, even though they were happy to make a new one that was less than satisfactory. Decor is a bit confused! Book a table now
A very nice cafe is a bit out of the path of the Hobart CBD, but it is very worth the visit to the food! The staff was very friendly and the café decor is simple and tidy. I ordered the drawn pork and the waffles at the time of my visit, although I have recommended the Ricotta pancakes.
Lovely coffee, ultra friendly staff. Prompt & efficient service of food. Great music playing. Smashed Avo with feta with some eggs. Yum.
