We had lunch here before going to see a show at the riverside theatre. A small wander between the two. We had an early lunch, by midday and it was not at all busy. Variety on the menu was good and most dishes sounded great...and was hard to choose! The meals for six people were served all at the same time, which was great. The serves were huge, with the exception of the veggies with the salmon. A little on the light side there. Yet, no complaints. Apparently the bar staff seemed a little vague when placing the order according to the friends we were dinning with, the staff could not find the jugs of water and they hen had to be stepped through the process of what to do. All in all a lovely me...
Sad to say that this is my local. Always good food and music but service is generally pretty curt, especially from the manager. On my last visit I observed her usual rude behavior with a customer he was shocked and turned to me and...said, “She doesn’t seem very **** happy” and walked away. Weird thing is she’s nice to colleagues but not to paying customers. If there was another pub close by I’d go there. Might start looking there are plenty of places to eat in Parra.
My husband went to The Melbourne cup luncheon today. He said the food was very good and worth the money. Very plentiful. Faye did a good job. There was one lady who did not. Not sure of name but she was a heavy set brown...curly haired woman in her She could not be more unpleasant if she tried. Very bad attitude and extremely rude to customers. Probably wouldn’t go there again because of her.
Had lunch at the Rose Crown today. The food was good but was pretty disappointed as the table was quite dirty and sticky. We've not had that problem before. I don't know if we'll return now.
