Visited rushie on a Saturday evening with a friend that I've not seen for ages we arrived around 8pm we chose this place because of the superb reviews We were both disappointed by the experience the service wasn't the best and the food average I...had lamb hotpot seen one of the photographs on there website it looks fantastic in reality very bland not enough sauce...and a little light on the lamb pieces...pretty sure we wont be visiting again
We ordered masala dosa, and two veg curries. The dosa was crisp light, with v tasty chutneys (x3) sambar. The potato filling was lightly spiced. It was beautifully presented. Our veg curries were fresh and again subtly spiced. The nan was a good...mix of crisp and doughy. Staff were attentive and welcoming- and happy to make us up Cobra shandies. Tip-top! And we look forward to our next visit.
Visited for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful meal. The Dosa starter looks fabulous and was very tasty. I tried tandoori king prawns which were spicy and I really enjoyed them. For main we had lamb chops, chicken and spinach, chicken tikka with specialty...bread and rice. It was a real feast and the service was very friendly and helpful.
I once gave this place a super review because they prepared us super authentic S. Indian food. I'm afraid we just had something aligned to the usual 95% of Banlga style Brit-Indian restaurants across the nation. Dry diced chicken breast in bland red curry. What...a shame. Wake up Ruchie owners you need to bring something different to the table. Book a table now
The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and the staff were friendly and attentive, they were also well-informed about dietary restrictions and responded promptly to any questions. The menu offered a variety of South Indian dishes, including many vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The taste and quality of the food were excellent.
We visited this restaurant for Valentines Day and found that the food was decent, but the service was extremely slow. We ordered poppadoms, starters, and mains, and ended up spending 2.5 hours in the restaurant. We noticed that other tables were also complaining about slow service and receiving incorrect or missing orders.
decided to have a curry tonight, and with far the best I had in the old. would be recommended definately and will be a returning customer. chilli fish starter was good with decent kick then lamb chettinadu porn.
