"Papadums" offered as entree, proved to be a "side dish plate" and was very exaggerated. Items as two separate elements at reception of 10.90 US dollars for the plate and $ 3.50 for the papadums. A big surprise for 5 papadums and a sauce. In view of other reviews, which have been shown, where other people were deceived in the same way.

Food was average. Service was confused. Not sure whether they are good Indian restaurants in Hobart, but I'm sure you'd find a better one.
Was asked whether I wanted all of the food out together, my answer was a very clear yes. I specifically asked for only one serve of rice.
Appetiser came out almost immediately after we ordered. Vege pakora was way too battered and quite tasteless.
Mains wasn't served until half an hour later.
Ordered a serve of raita and it was served with the appetiser. So I had to order another one for the vindaloo. So it was fair that I paid for it. Although, if all the food came out together, it wouldn't have mattered.

We roamed Hobart harbour looking for a nice Restaurant (not hard to do) but at a reasonable price? It was our last night and frankly was fed up of having to pay for overpriced food. Just as we gave up and decided to buy food at coles and cook at the hotel we passed Saffron Indian Restaurant; lovely food and at fair prices too. We had a really nice time here and found the staff to be very pleasant and attentive. I would go back to Saffron again - IF we ever find ourselves in Hobart habour

I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews first, I would have given this place a miss. My partner & I had dinner here last night. We both thought the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant environment was nice & the prices really reasonable - especially for a tourist area. We both enjoy Indian food & thought this was up there with our favourites. Just shows that you can't always rely on the reviews! So how are we supposed to choose now?!
The food was full of taste, and the service was fantastic, she asked us twice when we enjoyed our food, and we definitely seem a little small, but they are very filling, the only setback is the price that is a little bit is a little bit steep for the amount of food you get. $ 3 for a cucumber The size of a tablespoon is a little stupid, but unlike that it was a great night
Some bad reviews here, but I went with my family and had a great time. The service was good, but sometimes something slow. Some of the currys, although distinguishes itself on the menu, tasted the same, but all delicious. I had the Lammchennai, whom I very recommend. Great for the family.

I had dinner here with my partner and his parents and the staff were so helpful with catering to my vegan diet. They carefully pointed out what was and wasn't vegan on the menu. Excellent Indian food!
