The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared inste...
The food was tasty. The waiter was a little less than average as far as skill set. I didn't care for how they ran out of bread. It was very noisy in the section that we were sat in. But all in all it was not a bad experience just didn't knock my socks off.
We took a seat at the bar and attempted to get some service, but after waiting for about 10 minutes with no luck, we decided to leave. It was a strange and disappointing experience to be ignored, especially since we were excited to try some seafood.
This was our second visit to Saltwater Grill. The food was delicious and the service unmatched. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Galveston.

My wife and I tend to have a fairly sophisticated palate and have dined in many nice restaurants in our travels on both the east and west coast.
The Apple Cider salad was the best salad I have ever had! Had the crab cakes and they were awesome! The service was wonderful. Great meal!
