The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared inste...
The food was tasty. The waiter was a little less than average as far as skill set. I didn't care for how they ran out of bread. It was very noisy in the section that we were sat in. But all in all it was not a bad experience just didn't knock my socks off.
We visited Saltwater Grill for the second time and once again, we were impressed. The food was delectable and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning for another meal when we are in Galveston.
We sat at the bar and tried to get served. Finally left after about 10 minutes. Just an odd overall experience of being ignored. Disappointed as we were looking forward to some seafood

I had the best salad of my life with the Apple Cider salad! The crab cakes were absolutely amazing and the service was fantastic. Overall, a fantastic meal!

It's a great local spot with yummy foodThe paella could use mussels or clams in addition to the shrimp, sausage, and chicken.
The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that the owner was very pleasant and the service was fast and courteous.
