Went here for a nice evening out dinner for 2. Nice white tablecloths and a real "welcome to our family" vibe! Was greeted by a welcoming man at the door, and even the cook said HELLO as we walked in! The food was really well prepared, and tasted fresh! Cooked Halloumi was VERY tasty! Greek salad was great! I had the Surf & turf and WOW, what a plate! Squid, Lamb, and all the fixings! Really well prepared, not over seasoned, well cooked, and all while the hosts kept wine glasses full and had interesting conversation too!Would definitely look at returning to this place for another meal! After travelling from Brisbane to see the Swans, totally slaughtered by GWS,we walked Oxford Street looking for a nice red and a meal. We entered Santorini and the rest is history. A BIG GREEK Birthday was in full swing but we were welcomed in. Our Greek heritage appeared lol. A delicious great meat platter and a bottle of red made for the start of a great night, which included a lesson in Greek dancing and some very nice birthday cake. Thank you - The owners were so accommodating as we were late but nothing was to much trouble and birthday group were so welcoming.
Having read the reviews I decided to visit Santorini - I'm Greek and I'm always looking out for good Greek food. I thought the food was average (and not that authentic) - the vegetarian mousaka was made of 70% sauce, which was watery and bland and the chicken souvlaki was nicely cooked but nothing special overall. The problem with this restaurant is that it's extremely overpriced - for the amount of money I spent in there I could have eaten double the amount at Ouzo down the road or even better at Apollo.
If you want great Greek food with a lively atmosphere and a taverna feel, you must come here!We found this place walking down Oxford Street and decided to make a reservation and give it a try.We were greeted by the owner and immediately taken to our table upstairs. It was a warm night, but we didn't care as we felt like we just entered a restaurant in Greece. The food and service were great. We left very satisfied and would come back next time we are in Sydney.

I stop at Santorini every now and then, and very often for a plate of grilled octopus. They have always had great food, friendly service, in a a very nice atmosphere. I found all that when I visited Santorini Restaurant with my long-time friend Charles-Antoine and his Colombian former colleague. The only difference I found this time is that the prices went up quite significantly. For instance, my grilled octopus plate went up by 40% in just a couple of years.
Just in Sydney for the weekend and had been to this restaurant years ago and decided to revisit. It hasn't changed, food amazing and huge servings. A real authentic Greek experience. Can't wait for my next visit!
At first glance it did not make a good impression on me, instead the meat and the moussaka were excellent and the service was "particular" but good! I will definitely be back!
