Was thrilled to be revisiting one of my old regulars after many years. A family get-together over lunch. But have left in total shock and disbelief at the lack of customer service. At the end of the meal, we were asked if everything was OK. We reluctantly mentioned a small issue. Which followed with a totally defensive rude response from the waitress. The rudeness continued into a verbal personal attack without a single sorry spoken. We were then accused of being rude to the barman earlier when ordering drinks. Which was actually light banter between us all. But the most shocking ending to this is when 'said ' waitress pushed past me to continue to clean tables, without a excuse me. Which le...
We had a family lunch and wow I never knew I could be so shocked… we ordered our food and all was good. When food was delivered the chicken was a little powdery and at the end of the meal a waiter asked if everything was good with the meal. So we just politely brought up the little issue and she got very defensive and didn’t even say sorry. As we went to pay, the chef then said that she had tried the chicken and it was fine and there was nothing wrong with it. The waiter then was very loud about it and then pushed past us all to go and clearly the table and didn’t even say excuse me then accused us of being rude to her fellow colleague when we was previously having light banter with him.
We went here to have a nice family meal but as we were finishing our meal we had a waiter come over to see if everything was ok, we politely mentioned a small complaint regarding one of the meals we ordered, which then proceeded with rudeness from the waiter. Then when we went to pay and re-mentioned the complaint, this lead to a verbal attack on my family and I. We then got accused of being rude to another waiter which wasn’t true, we had actually had some banter with said waiter. We wouldn’t recommend this place, no focus on customer service at all.
We had lunch here yesterday with my brother in law and sister in law who live nearby. We were greeted warmly straight away and shown to our table, the barman/waiter was very friendly and helpful, there were several gluten free options for me as a coeliac, including chips cooked in a separate fryer, and several gluten free desserts too. Good vegetarian options and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

I really liked the atmosphere of the Saracen's Head and after a medical appointment, my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a little pick-me-up. Both the pub and the friendly bartender were very welcoming to us. I ordered the beer battered cod and chips from their Specials board and my friend chose the scampi and chips. The food was delicious and filling. We would highly recommend dining at this restaurant, especially to our families and friends.

Just came back from a lovely meal, the food was tasty and a perfect portion size for a large amount of guests, the staff were really friendly and helped us with every request. I would like to say thank you for making my daughters birthday enjoyable for all the family, we will definitely come again.
Having just moved to the village, we scoped out our local pub and we’re pleasantly surprised it has a cafe too during the day. I love grabbing a coffee to go in the morning. The owner and staff that I’ve encountered are all lovely. The pub feels like a hub to the local community.

I always receive a warm welcome at this restaurant and have never had a bad meal. The beer is good, the staff is excellent, and there is easy parking. The outside garden is accessible and I have been a regular customer for several years.
